David C. Leslie

May 23, 2016, Age 78, of Canton. Beloved husband of Rosemary for 54 wonderful years. Loving father of Scott (Amy) and Jay. Cherished grandpa of Sam and Oliver. Dear brother of William (Janet), Robert (Ruth), and Ian (Deborah). Brother-in-law of Louie (Barbara) Barta. He leaves behind many loving family members and friends. David’s greatest love was spending time with his family. He was a dedicated philanthropist, lending his help to Wellspring a Christian nonprofit youth development organization that provides spiritual, academic, social & economic support to the youth in Northwest Detroit. David was a founding member of the preservation group at the Ford Piquette Avenue Plant in Detroit. He was also an outstanding member of the Boy Scouts of America.

Visitation will take place Wednesday, May 25th 4-8PM at Fred Wood Funeral Home- Rice Chapel 36100 Five Mile Rd (E. of Levan) Livonia.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 26th 10:30am, gathering 10:00am at Geneva Presbyterian Church 5835 North Sheldon Rd Canton, MI 48187.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Wellspring 16742 Lamphere St, Detroit, MI 48219 or Geneva Presbyterian Church.
