Elizabeth Ann Haewski

It is with great sadness that the family of ELIZABETH ANN HAEWSKI announces her

passing on February 3, 2018, at the age of 91. Ann was born on January 14, 1927; the only

daughter of Denver and Florence Hertel. She grew up in Cincinnati and while a student at

the University of Cincinnati, she met and married Roy Hall Murray, who preceded her in

death. Left a widow with three young children, she showed fortitude and strength. She

received her Masters Degree in education at Wayne State University. In 1965, she

married Anthony Haewski, who also preceded her in death. She loved being a teacher and

upon retirement, enjoyed traveling around the world. She was a member of Alpha Omega

Pi sorority, MENSA and a very proud member of the DAR.

She is survived by her children, Carol Murray (Norvel Derickson), David Murray (Karen

Murray) and James Murray; grandchildren James, Jennifer, Daniel, Ryan and Gregory and

great grandchildren Stone, Nevaeh, Aiyanna, Makenna and Koda.

A funeral service honoring Ann will be held on Thursday, February 8th, 11:00am at the Fred

Wood Funeral Home in Livonia, Michigan. Prior to the funeral, open

visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 6th, from 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday, February

7th from 4-8 p.m.
