Marguerite I. Richmond

Age 88. June 16, 2016. Beloved wife of Paul for 66 years. Loving mother of Sandra (Patrick) Kinzel, Matthew Richmond, Beth (Jerry) Conner, and the late Peggy (Chuck) Szura. Proud grandma of Ashley, Melissa, Stephanie, Daniel, Alexandra, Caitlyn, Eddie, and Paul. Proud great grandma of Korbin, Brooklyn, Lucas, and Kinley.

Marge loved her children, grandchildren and was lucky enough to get 4 great grandchildren.  She was also a foster mother to over 25 newborns.  It was always a great surprise to come home from school and find a new baby in the house.

As children our parents took us on many trips across the country camping from Disneyland in California to the National Parks on the east coast. Their love of travel took them to Switzerland and Mexico with the Nomads Travel Club to a retirement of full time RVing across the country. They were able to touch all 48 continental United States as well as a lot of Canada.

In her younger days Marge was the private secretary to Mr Kresge in Detroit. The stories of her riding the street cars to work were enjoyable to hear. After marrying Paul they bought their first home on MacArthur in Redford and that was where they started their family. Sandra, Matt and Beth were born there. It was time to move as they outgrew the house.  So they packed us up and moved a few block away. Peggy was born at the new house and we became a family of 6! 

From traveling to gardening or heading with us to our events she was always present in our lives to cheer us on and let us know she was proud of us. We, her kids and grandkids, will always be proud of her. Marge will truly be missed.
