Mr. Calvin Thomas, “Tom or CT” Hollowood, age 85, of Roopville, GA, formerly of Noblesville, IN passed away September 30, 2015. He was born September 1, 1930 in Detroit, MI to the late Calvin Wallace and Olive Jane Kissner Hollowood. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his two wives, the mother of his children, Patricia Gatzka Hollowood and Sara Cummins Hollowood; and grandson, Michael Ross McCoy. Mr. Hollowood served his country in Germany in the United States Army. He finished Alma College then graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Throughout his career, he worked at many companies and obtained two patents. His final position was with Firestone Industrial Products. Mr. Hollowood cherished and served his family. While raising his children, he served on the Cherry Hill District school board, serving as President as well. He loved his faithful companion “Odie”, golfing and hunting. Always after a long day of hunting, he never missed the trip to Ketola Camp to reminisce about the day. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Karen and John McCoy of Roopville, GA, Elaine and Scott Marvin of Statesville, NC, and Brian Hollowood of Suttons Bay, MI; grandchildren, Jason McCoy, Christina McCoy, Patrick McCoy, Antoni Marvin, P. J. Lange-Hollowood; brother, James Hollowood of Plymouth, MI; his very close niece and nephews, Cheryl, Marc and little Jimmy; step-children, Beth and Bobby Garrison and Denise and Scott Broady all of Noblesville, IN, Teresa and Rick Huffman of Cicero, IN and Ken and Diane Foreman of Vero Beach, FL; nine step-grandchildren and twelve step-great-grandchildren.
