Passed away peacefully on April 11, 2018, at the age 86. Beloved wife of the late Donald H. Sherwood. Loving mother Donald H. (Nancy) Sherwood of Southgate, Michigan, Dino A. (Sarah) Sherwood of Chelsea, Michigan, and Denise E. (Donald) McCathney of Livonia, Michigan. Dear grandmother of Raven Sherwood, Austin Wilson, Sabrina Sherwood, Calista Sherwood, Christopher McCathney, Gino McCathney, Marcus McCathney, Andrew Spencer, Devon Spencer, Gerron Spencer, Chase Stuart, and Zachery Stuart. Cherished great-grandmother of A.J., Timothy, Nico, Lilian, Dax, and Ezra. Dearest sister of Louise (James) Pellegrini and the late Ernest DeAngelis, William (Marion) DeAngelis, Rose Marie "Pat" (Phillip) Dagostini, Vera (Stanley) McCloskey, and Armond (Alice) DeAngelis. Joan leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
A memorial mass will be held Friday, April 20th, at 11:00 am, instate 10:00 am St. Edith Catholic Church 15089 Newburgh Rd, Livonia, MI 48154
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Angela Hospice and/or Woodland Village of Brighton.
