John A. Giacomini

(born Giambattista Umberto Giacomini), from Livonia, Michigan,
after living an inspiring life of finding joy and contentment in each day, has left this
earth to join his lord, his wife, and his family and friends in heaven.
John, or as he is known to everybody, Nonno, was first and foremost, a family man.
He was the quintessential Dad and a BROTY (Best Relative of the Year) award winning
Grandfather. Professionally, John also dedicated his life to the betterment of others,
as a career public school teacher and administrator. He was a proud military veteran
and car enthusiast. John’s laugh, his sense of humor and his remarkable ability to
connect with all those his life touched will be missed beyond bounds.
Those that will most find peace in his memory are his three children: John (Tracy),
Joy (Jamie) and Tom; as will his grandchildren: TJ, Patrick, Conor, Gina, Sabrina and
AJ; and his sister, Dora.

Please join us in celebrating John’s amazing life with a Memorial at Fred Wood
Funeral Home on Thursday, October 4, from 4-8 pm.

His funeral mass will be held
Friday, October 5, 10 am at his parish, St. Edith Catholic Church in Livonia.

Following
mass will be a brunch at George’s Senate Coney Island in Northville.
