Mahlon Roger Kiscaden returned home to the Lord on January 8, 2019 surrounded by his loving family and loyal friends at Brighton Gardens of Northville. He left behind an amazing legacy of love and dedication to his family, church, community and many friends. A beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Mahlon was wise, warm and witty.
Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Mahlon joined the Army Air Corps immediately after graduating from high school as WWII broke out. As a pilot, he flew 29 missions over Germany, but served most of his time as a flight instructor at Altus, Oklahoma.
After his military service, Mahlon returned to Minnesota to marry the love of his life, Leone Linderholm, and begin his career as a systems analyst. He worked for Ford Motor Company and transferred to Michigan in 1966. He retired from Ford in 1988.
Mahlon was predeceased by his son, Paul, and is survived by his wife of 72 years, Leone, his daughter Barbara Mendelson (Joe), grandsons Brian Claassen (Anna-Marie) and Scott Claassen (Maribeth), and great-grandchildren Wright, Turner, Henry, James and Amos.
