Was wir in unserer Familie sehr gerne tun :-)
In Liebe Michaela

Our condolences go out sadly once again to the Brady Family. I will never forget how Marlis fought immigration in order for me to perform for so many years. My memories of John and Marlis will not soon fade away. I'm sure they're together sharing a a glass of wine and a laugh.

I'm so very sad that I didn't get to say goodbye to my dear friend, Marlis, whom I've been looking for this year. I spoke to her a couple of years ago but couldn't find her again. I also learned too late that her son had lived very close to me in Utica, Michigan, where I could have visited Marlis or provided her shelter at that tragic time as well. I worked at the Wayne County Jail in the 1970's and spent much of my time with Marlis at the Old Shillelagh. Marlis stayed with me in California in the 1980's during her entire vacation. I loved having her with me. Oh how I cared for her so very much, and how proud I was of her intellect and many fine talents, especially that she taught sailing classes at the Detroit Yacht Club and German classes in a Detroit High School. What a very fine and brilliant woman who overcame many difficult obstacles in her lifetime, as she brought great, unselfish love and joy to so many of us. Farewell, Marlis, my treasured friend. As you always used to say to me, "Safe home." Lovingly, Judith

Dear Brady Family,
Hearth felt condolences on the massing of Marlis. When we would visit Michigan, we made it a point to always stop and see John and Marlis. When they sail to Annapolis, they looked up. Wonderful memories that will always be cherished.

There are so many wonderful memories we have of times spent with your mom and dad. From the Shillelagh to the Dakota Inn events to the visits to their various homes throughout the years. We always had so much fun with them and will miss them both very much. In Marlis, I will especially miss my German speaking partner. She was always so much fun to be around. Please extend my sincere condolence to the entire Brady clan. May you all have fond and happy thoughts of her in the days to come. Sincerely, Frank(in spirit), Linda, Kerry, and John Steele
