Darlene and family, Paul was a Godly man who followed the lord by being such a kind human being. He had a heart so full of joy, love, and laughter. That smile was always on him every time we saw eachother. Paul was a great man. He will be missed by many people whom he loved, family and many friends. Darlene and family,

We were so shocked to hear in church (St. Mary's) that Paul had passed away.... Our deepest sympathy and heartfelt thoughts and prayers during this difficult time... All enjoyed our time on Sherwood and the many RV trips for the kids band competitions.... God bless you and your family...

So blessed by your love and devotion to your family and your country. You always included everyone and made each of us feel welcome in your heart and in your home. You made it your priority to be there for those special moments in each of our lives. Our lives have all been touched by your kindness and your generosity. There will be a void but love will live on ...

I have so many wonderful memories of my Uncle Paul. Even though we never lived close, he always made sure we were included & part of the family. He made trips to see us in Kansas & we were all so excited when we heard Uncle Paul & Aunt Darlene were coming. He had the best stories & his laugh was contagious. We loved him so much & will miss him dearly.

Dear Darlene,
We are so sorry that Paul has left our lives. From the time in the Corps till now he has always been a dear friend. It is easy to remember Paul Counting cadence with a tough-guy face and then quickly smiling with a naughty twinkle in his eye followed by some shenanigans!
Love, Doug and Bertha

I always enjoyed talking with Paul. We both had so many stories to swap. My hate of the army and his love of the Marine Corp. I don't think we ever got to tell all of our stories to each other. I think he also knew everyone in Dearborn from the '50's and '60's. Nothing seemed to slow him up, he showed up all the time. I am so sorry to lose this good friend!

Mr Paul,

Thank-you for being such a good friend to my father and my family for these many years. The exploits of my dad's service in the Corps would not have come to life for me without you. Every picture I have seen of his time in the service is because of you! You will never be forgotten by anyone in my family.
