Pete was simply a one of a kind guy. As kind, genuine, and caring as could be. I had the pleasure of living down the street from him for many years. He would alway jog by and stop on his way home to check in with me or ask how school was going. When I played football in high school I could always count on him to catch me on Saturday to ask how the game went. After my father passed away in 2008, he would catch me every chance he got, whether it be from down the street with friendly wave and "How are you?," or stopping by and checking in to see how I was doing and if there was anything I needed. During that time for him to always reach out with kind words, and even go out of his way to see what I was doing, meant so much more then I can put into words. A truly great man, father, and friend. I am terribly saddened to hear of his passing. If ever there is anything I can do please to not hesitate to ask.

I am deeply sorry to hear of pete passing. I sit next to him at the lions games. I always enjoyed spending time with him. it will be very strange not being with him next season. maybe he is seeing the lions team winning in heaven. god bless him
