Richard Teefey

Age 88 of Livonia. Cherished husband of Virginia for 65 years. Beloved father of Mike (Mary Kay), Sherry (Dave) Mowatt, Laurie (Lynn) Kreimes, Dan (Dawn), and Kirk (Kristi). Loving grandfather of Aaron, Bryant, Scott, Autumn, Sean, Kevin, Nikki, Erika, Matt, Trevor, Brady, Evan; and great grandfather of Jaelen, Kalea, Riley, Lucas, Brielle, Cameron, and Easton. Preceded in death by his parents Sophie and Robert, and siblings Patti, Geraldine, Tom, and Jim. Indebted friend and client of caregiving angel Kenner.

Richard was a fireman for the Detroit Fire Department for 38 years. Moving up the ranks to become captain, chief, and then senior chief. He had his own aluminum siding business and leaves behind many satisfied customers. He loved to dress to the 9’s, dance, and have his Manhattans whenever he went to party occasions. He was thankful and complimentary at all times to his caregivers. He would help you in a minute if he could. Richard was a perfectionist and an extremely hard working man. He served his country during the Korean war. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral Mass will take place Monday at St. Colette Catholic Church. Visiting 11am, Mass 12pm.
