Walter John McEvilly, 81, of Livonia, Michigan passed away in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family and loved ones on October 1st, 2018. Beloved husband of 47 years to the late Patricia. Loving father of Beth McEvilly (Tim Godin), Evette (Ben) Powell, Mike (Kelly) and Daniel (Kelly). Proud grandpa of Dylan, Jackie, Grey, Spencer, Benjamin, McKenna (Matt) , Jake , Abbey, Mya, Ryann, Sloane and great-grandpa of Lincoln.
Born in Dearborn, Michigan on May 18, 1937 to Walter and Josie McEvilly. “Walt” graduated from Dearborn Fordson in 1955 and joined the Army infantry in 1959 as a tank commander, where he served in Korea and on the DMZ. Later he worked in the tool and die industry and opened up his own business in the mid-70’s and finally retiring in the early 2000’s. Walt loved spending time with his family and friends and playing cards. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish and spending time at the hunting cabin. He also enjoyed watching every sport, except the NFL!
