William T. Gurr

Passed away peacefully on August 30th at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late Anita Fay (nee. James). Best friend and cousin to John and Geraldine Pullum. Loving brother-in-law to Norma Dean James. He was a wonderful uncle to Geri Pullum, Vickie and Dale Lewis, Cheryl and Tom Percha, Jane Killen, John and Yukari Pullum, Susan Anspaugh, Ron Allen, Ronda Allen, James Allen and Steven Allen. He leaves behind many loving family members and friends.

William taught at Detroit Public Schools for 38 years as a middle school science teacher. He was a proud Korean War Veteran for the United States Army. He loved to bowl and golf. 

Visitation will take place 4:00pm-9:00pm Friday, September 7th at Fred Wood Funeral Home-Rice Chapel 36100 Five Mile Rd., (E. of Levan) Livonia. 

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 8th at 12:00pm, visiting from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Fred Wood Funeral Home-Rice Chapel.

Interment will follow at Grand Lawn Cemetery.
