Adam Lee Malecki, Age 36 of Livonia, unexpectedly passed away on August 24, 2023. Born in Livonia, Michigan on June 30, 1987, to his loving parents Alan and Theresa Malecki. Treasured brother of the late Curtis Malecki. Adored cousin of Danny Heathfield, Jennifer Heathfield, and Michelle (Matt) Leon. He will be truly missed by many loving family members, friends, and especially his faithful companion, Cocoa. He attended Stevenson High School, class of 2005. Adam completed his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Michigan Dearborn. He proudly went on to complete his Masters of Business Administration Degree in Stephen M. Ross School of Business at U of M Ann Arbor. After completing college Adam began his career working as a product engineer and later moved onto business and investing consulting. Adam was quietly humble about his accomplishments which were countless and especially had a passion and success in alternative investments.
Adam grew up learning about life and adventures while exploring with his late brother Curtis which expanded into summers with his cousins going up north MI. He spent time boating, fishing and swimming with family along the AuSable River, East Twin Lake and later George Lake. The cousins spent plenty of time causing trouble and creating hilarious memories while Adam dominated in ping pong and Scrabble.
From a young age, Adam’s above average intelligence, some would say even brilliant, was always something he was so very humble about. Instead, he cared more about life and had a thirst for adventure and people and never stopped striving to be the best version of himself. Adam had a deep love for family, friendship, connection, the outdoors, laughs and his best buddy, his dog Cocoa.
Into his adult life, Adam had a passion for anything that would challenge his mind including his eagerness for a healthy debate. He attended trivia every Thursday where he would quietly dominate the entire bar. Adam had a fun-loving charm and whit that were second to none, a laugh you could never forget and that people would gravitate towards. Adam had a warm heart and a gentle way of making you feel right at home with excellent conversations about life. Adam would gladly drop anything he was doing to lend a helping hand with no expectation in return. Adam was an avid reader, enjoyed spending time golfing, kayaking, camping, hiking, running, and riding his motorcycle. Through college and his time traveling, Adam acquired many lifelong friends. He and Cocoa will forever be missed at the annual Higgins Lake trip over the Fourth of July.
Those of us privileged to know Adam, have been enriched to have him in our lives. We will tremendously miss his infectious laugh and joy of life. He was the best son, brother, cousin and friend.
