On Monday, March 26, 2018, just days before his 93rd Birthday, Adrian Cole Jr. peacefully passed into the arms of his Savior. Born on April 1, 1925 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Adrian Sr and Sarah Cole, Ade was the youngest of three boys. Adrian's formative years instilled in him a great work ethic and passion for education. Adrian served his country in the armed forces during World War II in Germany and France. Only days before he left for war, Ade met the vivacious Esther, who quickly captured his heart through wartime correspondence and became his treasured wife. Ade and Esther celebrated 67 years of marriage before Esther's passing in May 2016. Together they raised two sons - James (Laurie) of Livonia and Mark (Sharon) of Santa Ana, California. Extremely hardworking and dedicated, Adrian built an established career as a successful salesman. His work took him from the blizzards of northern New York to the beaches of California, but he and Esther ultimately retired to their home state of Michigan. Ade and Esther spent their retirement deeply invested in the lives of their five grandchildren, Nathan (Heidi), Todd (Allison), Julianne (Brandon), Gerrit (Amy), and Erin. A lover of baseball, the news, and anything sweet, Adrian will always be remembered for his integrity, humility, and passionate convictions. Ade is survived by his children, grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
