Agnes J. Shaffner age 94 of Brighton, formerly of Livonia and Detroit. Cherished wife for over 71 years to the late Richard. Beloved mother of Rick (Sue), Margaret (Bob) Adams and Carol (Mark) Clinton. Proud grandma of Kristen (Todd) Kerrigan, Erik (Tiffany) Adams, Andrea (Carrston) Powell, Jenny (Joe) McArdle, Lisa (Joel) Kirsch, Shawn (Roz) Adams, Kyle Clinton and Mitch Clinton. Treasured great-grandma of Brooklyn, James, Owen, Ezra, Finley, Ben, Waylon, Sawyer and Ramona. Sister of the late Joseph (Marjorie) Fowler. Adored Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Also survived by many other loving family and friends. 

 

Agnes worked for Michigan Bell telephone company as an executive secretary. She retired in 1991. She enjoyed spending time at the family cottage in Linden, MI. Family was everything to Agnes. She kept in close contact with her cousins in Scotland. Rick & Agnes moved to Woodland Village in Brighton, MI in November of 2017. Agnes passed peacefully in her sleep on 8/6/22 surrounded by family.
