Angus Stirling was born on January 10, 1940 in Romeo, Michigan. He is survived by Christine, his loving wife of 59 years. He was the dear father of Scott (Barbara), Susan, and David. He was a proud and adoring grandfather to Joseph, Helena, Beatrice, Maximus, and Cordelia, who brought him immeasurable joy. He is survived by his twin sister, Annette (Robert) Sternaman. Also, he has many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Angus was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Ann Stirling, by his sisters and brothers: Jean, Martha, Janet, Richard, James, Peter, and David.
Angus had a gift for making people laugh, he had a great sense of humor. He had a strong faith in God and he lived by a simple motto: "Be a good person and always help others." Angus, a graduate of Wayne State University, served his community as a Detroit Police Officer, and he proudly served his country in the United State Army.
Family was most important to Angus. He loved spending time with his kids, grandkids, cousins, and good friends. He enjoyed fishing, camping, golfing, and bowling. Angus loved nature and animals, especially caring for dogs, cats, and feeding the birds. Angus and Chris enjoyed amazing trips to Scotland, England, Alaska, Hawaii, and the Canadian Rockies-adventures he treasured.
Angus will be remembered for his kindness, his laughter, and the care and love he gave so freely. He was, in every way, a good person who helped so many people.
