Barbara A. Boyke

Passed away peacefully on August 11, 2021, at the age of 79.  Barbara was born on September 19, 1941 in Detroit Michigan. Barbara was a resident of Livonia for 55 years and was the former owner and operator of Tiny Tots day care for 25 years. Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Boyke (Sova) sister, Lynn Brown (Dale), and brother’s Harold (Jane) and Michael (Chris). She is survived by a sister, Patricia (James) Bryan, 15 nieces and nephews, 8 great nieces and nephews and 18 great great nieces and nephews. She leaves behind many loving extended family members and friends. Barb was a sixteen-year pancreatic cancer survivor and her doctor called every year to congratulate her on her continued and remarkable recovery. Barb was a selfless individual who lived her life as a profound giver to others. Barb’s legacy includes an unending compassion for her loving guidance to the many infants and children in her care, her compassionate care to her elderly mother and Aunt Alma and her many friends that she helped to get through the hurdles in life. She is lovingly known as “our other mother” to the children of her best friend, Anita Perrine (deceased), for Barb’s impactful role in their lives.
