 Barbara Woodward

Age 65, formerly of Westland, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2020.  She was a graduate of Franklin High School in Livonia.  Barbara spent many years living in Reno, Nevada where she worked at Harrah’s Casino.  Since then she has spent the last 9 years back in Michigan with her family.  Barbara was a beautiful lady that enjoyed everything about life!  Barbara was a kid at heart.  She loved spending time with her family, playing games, swimming, doing yardwork, being outside and making people laugh.  Barbara enjoyed and was excellent at making special scrapbooks for the family.  Another pastime that Barbara loved was music and going to concerts every summer with her perfect son Nicky.  Her favorite concerts were Rod Stewart, Train, Bob Segar and Rob Thomas.  Not only did she love music, but she also had her favorite tv shows that were Friends and Dancing with the Stars.  She loved talking about all the people on Dancing with the Stars with her favorite Aunt Barb.  Not only did she love people but she also sure loved animals…. and they sure loved her as well.  She was preceded in death by her mother Myrtice Lamirand.  She is survived by her only son Nick Pritula, his wife Michelle and her only grandson, Michael Pritula. Her three sisters, Patti Byrd (husband Gary), Julie Thole (husband Ronnie), Merry Hosel and her brother Kurt.  Barbara also had a niece Kristie and nephews Josh, Jake and Halen.  There will be a small memorial celebration at a later date.  The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and amazing care that was given by Angela Hospice in Livonia.
