Charlene (Papke) Nunez

Charlene “Peach” (Papke) Nunez passed peacefully on January 19, 2023 at the age

of 86. Born on December 19, 1936 in Dearborn to Charles Papke and Mildred (nee: O’Neill) Papke. She was raised in Dearborn and attended Sacred Heart School. She married Oscar on May 25, 1957 and they enjoyed 65 years of wedded

bliss. They were blessed with six wonderful children, 12 grandchildren and 13

great-grandchildren.

Charlene is survived and beloved by her husband Oscar, daughters Diane Nunez,

Janet Doty, Joann Samuels, Carole (Robert) Clifford, Karen (Joseph)

Doulette and daughter-in-law Leslie Nunez,  Grandchildren Gilbert, Sarah,

Charlene, Bethany, Brian, Michael, Lauren, Lee, Alicia, Mateo, Deanna and Joseph. She will be missed by many.

Charlene always enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren by kissing

them and hugging when she saw them.

Charlene was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Mildred Papke, her son David, her son-in-law Anthony Samuels, her great-grandson Christopher Pierce, and her brothers Edward, Charles, and Kenneth.  

Visitation will take place at the Fred Wood Funeral Home

Tuesday ~ January 24, 2023 

2:00pm - 8:00pm with a Rosary Service times pending

A funeral mass will be celebrated at

Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church at

47650 N. Territoral Road, Plymouth, MI 48170
