The family would like to give special thanks to Angela Hospice for their wonderful care for Dennis and our family in his last days.
Dennis age 82, passed away on September 2, 2021 surrounded by his family.
Dennis was born in Detroit to Archie and Elsie Dorman. He grew up working on farms in the Deckerville and Snover area. He loved farming and growing many things. In high school, Dennis won the state title for the 440 yard dash as well as many other track records.
Dennis and his wife Ellen owned and operated their own business (Production Machinery Sales) along with business partner and good friend Marco Tomich.
Dennis will forever be remembered for his love of family, his beautiful flower and vegetable gardens, and being a skilled wood carver. He was also skilled at building and repairing things and was always willing to help his friends and family. He loved spending time hunting and fishing with his sons, grandsons, brother and his step-son Chris. He also had a special relationship with his brother Ed and sister-in-law Bonnie and they enjoyed many vacations together.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife Ellen of 31 years. Four children: Denise (Braden) Long, Kelly Dorman, Ellen (Steve) Albrecht and Nicholas (Margret) Dorman. Step-Children: Todd (Laura) Curtis and Lisa Vecellio and daughter-in-law Leah Curtis. Grandchildren: Adam (Julia) Long, Kayla Long, Michael (Jade) Albrecht, Alex Albrecht, Ervie (Elyse) Ward, Nicole (Ryan) Wallace, Jonathon (Fiance Breanna) Dorman, Kyle Curtis, Nicholas (fiance Alexis) Curtis and Alison Vecellio. Five great grandchildren with one on the way and many nieces and nephews.
Dennis was predeceased in death by his parents, half brother Ralph Dorman, step-son Chris Curtis and step son-in-law Mark Vecellio.
