Diane B. Wojkowski (née Szostek) passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 27, 2025, leaving a profound void in the lives of those who loved her.
Born on November 24, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, Diane was the daughter of Teofil and Helen Szostek. She grew up in Detroit and attended school there before beginning her career at Detroit Marketing Services.
Diane was a devoted wife to Frank and a loving mother to Brian and Keith, whom she cherished deeply. Her unwavering love and support were felt by them every day. She was also a proud and doting grandmother to Lauren, Brett, Brookelyn, and Brian Jr., with whom she shared many joyful moments playing Connect Four, Sevens, checkers, and working on puzzles. Diane was a caring sister to Ronald and Earl Szostek and a beloved aunt to many.
Her friendships were an essential part of her life, spanning countless shared experiences—from long phone conversations to outings, informal meals, and adventures both near and far. Diane was always there for those she cared about, whether it was offering companionship during happy times or providing support during difficult moments. She was the kind of friend who would drive you to a doctor’s appointment just as readily as she would join you for lunch.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Teofil and Helen Szostek; her husband, Frank; and her brother Earl. She is survived by her sons Brian (Ruth) and Keith (Cristina); her grandchildren Lauren, Brett, Brookelyn, and Brian Jr.; and her brother Ronald—all of whom will forever cherish the love she brought into their lives.
Diane’s kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to family and friends will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
