Donna Marie Mitchell

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Donna M. Mitchell who passed away on April 14, 2025 at the age of 82.  Donna was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She worked as a bank teller, a secretary, and home maker.  She deeply loved to garden and loved nature, photography, home decorating, keeping in touch with friends of old, writing poems & letters, cooking, baking and spending time with her grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Joseph L. Mitchell.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children Dawn M. Mitchell and Joann L. (Frederick) Fung.  Sister Jean (Francis) Burton and her brother Lee Morgan.  Beloved grandmother of Rachel (Andrew) Hofmeister and Brandon Fung.  Also survived by nieces, nephews and many family and friends.

A mass of intention will be held on Mothers Day, May 11, 2025 at 8:00 AM at St. Colette's Church, Livonia, MI.

A burial service will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be directed to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation of Michigan.
