Edwin Sylvester Heiser

Edwin Sylvester Heiser III, Age 90.  Loving husband of the late Phyllis for over 64 years.  Dear father of  Eddie, Phillip (Debbie), Kurt, MaryCatherine (Michael) Thomas, Carrie (Joe) Van Vliet and Joy (Tim) Bruce.  Beloved Grandfather of 12 and Great grandfather of 6.

Edwin dedicated 42 years of his career to the transmission division at Ford Motor Company before retiring, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment. A proud Navy veteran, he carried a deep sense of service and discipline throughout his life. From childhood, one of Edwin’s greatest passions was aviation. He spent countless hours building and flying his beloved RC planes and was a founding member of the Flying Pilgrims RC Club. His love for flight extended beyond models—Edwin was also a licensed pilot who flew a Cessna and shared his knowledge as a flight instructor, inspiring others to take to the skies. In addition to his many accomplishments, he found joy in bowling, a pastime he truly loved. Edwin will be remembered for his dedication, his passions, and the joy he brought to those who knew him.
