Eric M. Wurmlinger

Eric M. Wurmlinger age 72 of Livonia went home to be with the Lord on May 14, 2025. Cherished husband to Jean for 52 loving years. Beloved dad to Joshua (Katie), Deric (Julie), Jessica (Eric) Anderson. Treasured Pepaw to Ben, Allie, Maya, and Jack.  Dear brother to Kathleen Robin (Lowry) McBride, Andrew (Jennifer) and Susan. Proud uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many loving family members and friends.

Eric devoted his life to his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be most remembered for his quick wit, larger than life personality, and ability to make others laugh. Spending the majority of his career in Parks and Recreation, he was instrumental in organizing countless youth programs, and enriching community life in the areas he served. He had an unmatched enthusiasm and passion for coaching his children's youth sport teams and never missed an opportunity to tell his children how proud of them he was. He preached hard work and doing your best, over perfection. He was able to spend his later years going on many cruises with the love of his life, Jean, and learned to enjoy the quieter, finer things in life. It came as no surprise that he seamlessly transitioned from "World's Greatest Dad" to "World's Greatest Pepaw", providing his grandchildren with the same love, quality time, laughter, and support his adult children grew up with. His memory will lovingly live for the decades to come.
