Harry Lee Wallace, 92, of Livonia, MI, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025, peacefully at home. Born on December 18, 1932, in Portsmouth, OH, he was a son of the late Harrison L. and Hazel M. Wallace. Harry was a graduate of Portsmouth High School class of 1951 and a proud U.S. Navy veteran. Harry began his professional career in 1957 for National Cash Register, Dayton, OH, while working towards his engineering certificate, which he earned in 1964. By 1966, Harry began working for Burroughs Corp., Plymouth, MI, as a manager of mechanical engineering, retiring in 1994 with 28 years of service. He was an avid bass fisherman, joining the Downriver Bass Association in the mid-1970s. He held several board positions throughout his membership, including club president. Since the early 1970s, Harry had also been a member of the Veterans Association.
Harry was preceded in death by his son, Steven R. Wallace. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Wallace; two sons, John L. Wallace (Margo) of Charlotte, MI, and Brian K. Wallace (Sarahlynn) of Livonia, MI; and two grandchildren, Nicole Wallace of Potterville and Jon Wallace of Livonia.
A "celebration of life to be held at a later date." Per his wishes, cremation has taken place.
