Jeff Plaunt age 62 of Sterling Heights. Cherished son of Theresa and the late Eugene “Gene” Plaunt. Beloved brother of Scott (Kelly), Tracy (John) Rutt and Glen. Best and Proudest uncle of Clark, Allan, Jason, Garrett and Hunter. Also survived by many other loving family and friends.

Jeff was a generous, protective and loving son, brother, uncle and friend. Jeff would make special time with each of his nephews to impart as much knowledge as possible to ensure that they become successful and well-prepared adults. Jeff made sure he was present and prepared for any of his nephews travel hockey or roller hockey tournaments. He often opened his home to his nephews and family as well as other players and their families. He would make sure the house was stacked with snacks and love.

Jeff loved hockey and golf up to the end. He loved to play hockey himself until an injury made it necessary to stop.

Jeff was a dedicated and passionate Police Officer and Detective. He absolutely loved being on the force. He took pride in helping others. Outside of being an officer he would help anyone who asked. If you were in need, he was all in.

Jeff never knew a stranger. He would make friends everywhere he went.  He loved to share his experiences with anyone whether they wanted to listen or not.

Jeff will always be remembered as a jokester and prankster. There was never a dull moment when Jeff was around. He was dedicated to his family especially his mom.

Jeff will always be held in the hearts of those who knew him and he will be deeply missed.
