Joanne Louise Gleason
November 1, 1954 – July 24, 2024
After a valiant battle with cancer our dear Joanne passed from this world to the next on July 24, 2024.
Joanne loved animals, she had a beloved horse, Ben, and in the end two beagles, Baylee and Snickers.
Being an avid horsewoman, Joanne competed with Ben and even took a course in England where she
learned to ride English style. It is our sincere belief that she is now riding Ben through the streets of
heaven. In addition to her interest in horses, Joanne loved music as well, in her collection were backstage
passes from the Moody Blues 1982 tour where she got to meet the band. Joanne loved to travel as well
with one very memorable trip to China with her mother.
Joanne was a devoted employee at ITC Holdings for over twelve years, where she poured herself into her
work loving all things energy related. It was with ITC Holdings where she got to go up into a service
bucket high above the Woodward Dream Cruise.
Joanne is survived by her mother, Frances (nee Derrick) Gleason, her dogs Baylee and Snickers, an
assortment of cousins, dear friends, caring neighbors and respected co-workers.
As her faith was important to her a funeral mass will be held for Joanne on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at
10:30 a.m. at St. Edith Catholic Church, 15089 Newburgh Road, Livonia, MI 40154.
