John Scott Rusnica

John Scott Rusnica age 63 of Livonia Michigan, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025, peacefully surrounded by his family and lifelong friends. John is survived by his Wife, Donna (Schryer) Rusnica of 34 years. Daughters, Jessica Rusnica and Danielle Rusnica. Brother and Sister-in-laws, Nieces & Nephews from the Thibault’s, The Schryer’s, The Jason’s, The Cervenan’s and Vensko’s families. Along
with extend family and many lifelong friends of over 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents John Rusnica, Rosemary (Simko) Rusnica and Sister Terry (Rusnica) Thibault. John was born in Garden City Michigan on February 2, 1962. John grew up in Dearborn Michigan and attend Dearborn Public Schools. He spent over 37 years working at Oakwood/Corewell Hospitals.

John loved playing cards, fishing, golfing and watching all sports. He participated in sports growing up through high school. He was a dedicated fan who watched and attended games of the Red Wings, Tigers, Lions and MSU Spartans. He was the number one fan/cheerleader when it came to his daughter’s sporting events throughout the years. He loved attending concerts and listening to his favorite groups, the Rolling Stones and Tom Petty.

The Funeral for John will be on January 31, 2026 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Livonia MI. 

The address is 11441 Hubbard, Livonia, MI 48150. Viewing is from 10-10:30 am and the service is from 10:30-11:30.
