Passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024, at the age of 99. Born in Detroit, Michigan on December 20, 1924, to parents Peter and Helen Carlos. Beloved wife of the late Donald for 73 wonderful years. Loving mother of Sanford (Jill) Backos and Brian (Cathy) Backos. Cherished YiaYia of Donald (Elizabeth) Backos, Emily (Scott) Moorhead, Jonathan (Pryia) Backos, and Sarah (Nick) Papasifakis. Proud great-grandma of Scott, Sanford, Kathryn, Oliver, Eloise, Eftihia, Illiana, Navya, Athina, and Marina. She leaves behind many other loving family members and friends. Kathryn was well-known for a vibrant life filled with music, serving as an opera singer and a dedicated choir member for over two decades.
