Larry Szatkowski

Larry Szatkowski age 62 of Livonia. Cherished husband of Carol. Beloved father of Jena (Leigh) Gasworth, Laura Szatkowski (Eric Teitel) and Sara Szatkowski (Alex Figacz). Proud grandpa-to-be of Luna. Loving son to Therese and the late Anthony. Dearest brother of Karen (Donald) DeNault, Gary, Janet Meyer, Kenneth (Vicki), James (Dottie), Daniel, David (Frances) and the late Elaine Cerra and Robert. Beloved dog dad to Mia. Also survived by many other loving family and friends.

Growing up in a large family Larry learned how to be strong. His amazing strength followed him throughout his battle with pancreatic cancer this last year.  Larry had an infectious smile that showcased his obvious joy for living and for those around him. His family meant the world to him and he was happiest when everyone was home together enjoying a nice meal (of course, followed by a sweet treat). Always the salesman, he had recently enjoyed selling wine at Costco and was regularly one of the top sellers. He had a love for helping people and connecting with others, often volunteering at a local hospital. When at home, he enjoyed listening to music and tuning into sports whenever possible. Larry’s legacy lives on through his large family and close group of friends. He will be greatly missed and remembered fondly and often.
