Loretta, of Livonia, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, entered eternal life Thursday evening, February 8, 2024 at the age of 85.  She had many friends, a well-loved member of the community, and was always available when needed.

Loretta was born on October 14, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan to her late parents Victor and Vera (nee. Nadolski) Lopus.  Loretta married James H. Wood on February 15, 1958 at St. Suzanne Church in Detroit, MI.  Sadly, James passed away on December 6, 2023 after 65 glorious years of marriage.  She was an accomplished gardener, and enjoyed travel and spending time with family and friends. 

Devoted mother of Catherine (John) Nolan, Thomas Wood, Michael Wood, and the late Kenneth and Carol Wood. Mother-in-law of Barbara Wood. Proud grandmother of Jennifer (Joe) Lambert, Rachel (Everett) Bowers, John Nolan, Kenneth Wood, Sarah (Ryan) Wood, Steven Wood and great-grandmother of Zoey Lambert and Taylor Lambert.  Dear sister of the late Victor (Jean) Lopus.  Beloved sister-in-law of Barbara (Victor) Blue, Jean (James) Zubal, and the late Jessie (Curt) Starke and John “Richie” (Helen) Wood. Loretta leaves behind many other loving family members and friends.
