Maria A. Ellis
The matriarch of our family, Maria A. Ellis, gained her wings and was called home on May 21st, 2023, at the age of 80. Beloved wife of the late Chalmers for 27 years. Loving mother of Ann Marie (Sergio) Macias, Nancy (Kevin) Richardson, Arleen (Carlos) Thornhill, and Judy Ellis. Proud grandma of Sergio, Andres, Natalie, Charlie, Diego, and Julia. Dear sister of Maria Ramirez. Cherished aunt of Laura, Richardo, and Lizbeth. Maria leaves behind many other loving family members and friends.
Our beautiful mother had been battling dementia for the past few years. She passed away very peacefully with her entire family's love surrounding her.
To know our mom was to love her, and if she knew you, she loved you too. Her love was fierce toward every one - family, friend, or stranger. She was the kindest, most selfless person we have ever known. She was the life of the party with her spunk, sense of humor, and love of dancing. The world seems a little dimmer today without her in it. We are all heartbroken and she will be missed beyond words, but look forward to reliving the stories of her legacy and the mark she left on everyone's hearts.
