Mary Norwell

Mary Elizabeth Norwell, age 78 of Livonia Michigan, went to be with her God on Oct. 3, 2025.  The family is deeply saddened by her death. 

She is survived by her husband Francis Norwell (Buzz) whom she married in 1971, as well as sisters-in-law and generations of nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and her dear son Michael.  The youngest of four siblings, Mary grew up in various Michigan towns and graduated from Grass Lake High School.

Mary spent decades of her life as a mother and wife.  Mary and husband Buzz enjoyed making wooden toys, games and furniture. She assisted her aging parents and gave countless hours of cleaning, caregiving and cooking.  Many desserts flowed from her kitchen to appreciative family and friends.  This generosity of time and spirit continued for years. 

Everyone who knew Mary was touched by her kindness, steadiness and enthusiasm. Her positive view and sense of humor never wavered.

The family is grateful and thank all the friends and neighbors for their acts of kindness through Mary’s final days.
