Michael Saunders Obituary
Michael A. Saunders, age 78, passed away on Monday, March 10.
He was born May 25, 1946 in Detroit, MI to Corinne (Waterbor) and Harold Saunders.
He was a 1964 graduate of Cooley High School. He worked as a mechanical engineer with Burroughs Corporation for 44 years displaying his love for engineering. Michael enjoyed woodworking, car shows, northern Michigan, working outside in his yard, and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Diane of 42 years, a sister Marilyn (Jerry) Davis, his children Lynda Johnson and Mark (Kim) Saunders, 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 13 nieces and nephews. His brother John (Nancy) was recently deceased.
Family and friends are invited to Fred Wood Funeral Home, 36100 Five Mile Road, Livonia, MI from 2:00PM to 8:00PM on Saturday, March 15 to reminisce.
Church services will be on Monday, March 17 at St. Colette Catholic Church, 17600 Newburgh Road, Livonia, MI.
There will be an instate gathering at the church at 9:30am with Mass at 10:00am.
