Norman Robert Soelz
Passed away surrounded by his loving family in Livonia, Michigan, on Friday, August 11, 2023, at the age of 81, after a long battle with Myasthenia Gravis Disease. Born in Detroit, Michigan on February 16, 1942, to his late parents Norman and Florence Soelz. Norman leaves behind his loving wife Geri of 60 beautiful years. He was the loving father of John Soelz and Kristin (Doug) Clark. Proud papa of Devin Clark. Dear brother of Gloria Manino, Gerald Soelz, Diane Soelz, and the late Gary Soelz. He leaves behind many other loving family members and friends. Norman grew up in Detroit, Michigan and attended Chadsey High School. At the very young age of 12, he became an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed spending time out in the woods of Hillman, Michigan and Moscow, Michigan hunting deer, rabbit, and pheasant. Later in life you could find Norman on the banks of Hines Park Lake and at their cottage in Barryton just northwest of Mount Pleasant fishing. Norman worked at the G.M. at Willow Run until his retirement. He also enjoyed his beautiful flowers, especially the geraniums that he saved year to year in the basement during the winter months. Norman was a kind and loving man and will be sorely missed.
