Richard A. Munerance


Richard A. Munerance passed away on November 30, 2021.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Carol, 4 children, Cathy Grady (Kevin), Lisa Munerance, Bob Munerance (Lucy), Scott Munerance (Deneen), 7 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

He was a long time resident of Northville, MI and a member of Meadowbrook Congregational Church.  

Richard received a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Detroit and a Mechanical Engineering degree from Lawrence Technological University. 

He enlisted as a First Lieutenant in the United States Air Force proudly serving his country during the Korean War and was awarded The Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight. His honorable discharge from the Air Force Reserve was as a Captain.

He retired from Detroit Diesel Allison as the Manager of World Wide Distributor Development.        

Richard loved his family, any football team especially U of M and any team that defeated Ohio State, fishing at his cottage, the Air Force and his country.

Richard will be greatly missed by his family and friends.


Open visitation will be on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 4:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m..
The funeral service is private for the family.


The family requests donations be made on his behalf to the

Michigan Animal Rescue League, 325 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd N., Pontiac, MI.
