Rita passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 17, 2022, at the age of 79. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Witherspoon Sr., for 52 wonderful years. Loving mother of Douglas (Lisa), Jane (Jim Jordan) Maas, and Jeff (Tanya). Proud grandmother of Brendan, Ryan (Janette), Kyle, Genna, Brie, Alyssa, Sydney, and Trevor. Cherished great-grandma of Lauren. Dear sister of Mary Ellen (Michael) Cotter and the late Thomas Ostenfeld. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to the Accent Care Hospice/ Seasons Hospice Foundation.
