Robert Edward Skolnik

Robert Edward Skolnik, Age 74 of Livonia, passed away on May 28, 2025.  Cherished husband of Carol of 51 loving years.  Beloved father of Stephen (Jennifer) and Michael (Amanda).  Precious loving grandpa of Mia, Gavin, Jaxon, and Kennedy.  Dear brother of 7. Proud uncle of many nieces and nephews.  He will be missed by many loving family members and friends.

Whether you knew him as a compassionate husband, loving role model father, a precious Grandpa, a hardcore fishing buddy, or just someone to make you laugh hysterically with his unique and special, funny character, he was an amazing person that touched so many of us, and all of his family and friends knew him as Bob.  Bob set the standard for unconditional love, exceptional work ethic, determination, resilience, integrity, discipline, respect, and laughter for all of those that had the pleasured experience of being part of his life.  He was our mentor, and we all learned so much from him.  Whether it was which fishing lure to use on a given day with all the current conditions, how to build cabinets, a deck, a house, or a financial strategy with the stock market.  Most importantly, Bob taught everyone how to smile, have fun, be playful, and enjoy all the fruits that life has to offer.  He had an incredible talent to always be the life of the party and to put a smile on everyone’s face and create so many special memories for all.  We will all miss our compassionate and loving husband, loving role model father, precious Grandpa, and Bob more than any words from anyone can ever possibly describe.  We truly appreciate everyone’s help, support, and compassion during these very difficult times.  We love you all very much!
