Rodney Benn
Passed away peacefully after a brief illness on August 3, 2024, at the age of 78. Born on May 2, 1946 in Pontiac Michigan to his late parents Louis and Pearl Benn. Rodney was a loving brother to his late siblings Lynn (the late Judy) Benn and Sharon Mitchell. Brother-in-law of Harold Mitchell. Dear uncle of Steven (Stephanie) Benn, Tim (Kathy) Mitchell, Cindy (Randy) Onica, and Jerrette (Michael) Zoner. He leaves behind many other loving family members, friends, and his family-like friends Eve (Craig) Gilroy and Gina Gilroy. Rodney was a daredevil at heart. In his youth, he would be found riding his motorcycle or soaking up Michigan summers on Houghton Lake in his jet boat. He proudly served in the US Navy during the Vietnam era where he received a National Defense Service Medal. During his retirement he enjoyed spending time by the swimming pool. Rodney cherished his family deeply. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
