Stella Schwartz, 94, of Allen Park, Michigan, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026.
Born in Michigan, Stella lived a life centered on family, tradition, and love. She was married to her beloved husband, John Schwartz Jr., for 23 years until his passing on April 22, 1983—a date that now carries even deeper meaning for the family.
Stella was a devoted mother to her sons, John III and Mike, and her daughter, Karoline. Her grandchildren—Trisha, Andi, Rachel, Michael Jr., and Ashley—and great-grandchildren—Landon, Easton, Lainey, and Stanley—were her pride and joy.
Proud of her Polish heritage, Stella was known for her exceptional cooking and baking. Her homemade pierogies and strawberry-rhubarb pie were family favorites and a lasting expression of her love. Her kitchen was the heart of many gatherings, always filled with family, laughter, and warmth. She took great pride in her home and was meticulous about her lawn. A lifelong dog lover, she found joy in life’s simple routines and the people she shared them with.
Stella was loved by everyone who knew her. Her quick wit stayed with her to the end, along with her signature phrase, “how you be,” fondly remembered by all who heard it.
A private family memorial will be held on April 27 at Fred Wood Funeral Home Rice - Modetz.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stella’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Stella’s love, laughter, and traditions will live on in all who knew her.
