Thomas W. McDonell, Jr.

March 10, 1957 – April 3, 2022 

Rochester Hills resident, Thomas William McDonell, Jr., died April 3, 2022.  His final days were spent surrounded by the family and friends he loved so much. Thomas “Tom” was a caring father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Beloved Father of Jamie Kelley of Warren, Michigan. Loving Grandfather of Lucas Kelley. Dearest brother of Marcia McDonell and Kathleen McDonell Brojek (Thomas).  He is also survived and loved by one nephew, Matthew McDonell. Thomas was born in Grosse Pointe, Michigan to Thomas and Nancy McDonell.  He grew up in Fraser, Michigan and graduated from Fraser High School.  He also studied at Macomb Community College. Tom was an enthusiastic hunter, both gun and bow.  He also enjoyed golf and bowling and riding his motorcycle. His first love was spending time with his family. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Nancy McDonell. He worked for 20 years in the tool and die industry and ended his working career working at several different automobile dealerships in various capacities.  He recently retired from Lunghamer Buick GMC in Waterford Township, MI.

American Cancer Society.

A memorial service will be held this summer.
