William H. “Hoot” Hutsko

Passed away peacefully in his sleep, on November 30, 2024, at the age of 93. Born on August 3, 1931 to his late parents Andrew and Anna (nee. Koromas) Hutsko in Central City, Pennsylvania. In the late 1930’s William’s family moved to start a new life in Michigan.

On March 30, 1951, Bill joined the U.S. Coast Guard and served his country until March 29, 1954.

Fifteen years later, he married the love of his life Joe Ann (nee. Walker) Hutsko and have been happily married for 55 wonderful years.
Loving father of Carol (the late Ron Raiford) Hutsko, Susanne (Robert) Baumgardner, Julia Hutsko; dearest step-father to Robert (Brenda) Pegg, and Kimberly (Howard) Klix. Cherished grandfather to Kristen (Justin) Raju, Elyse Baumgardner, Justin (Autumn) Hutsko, Andrea Hutsko, Katrina (Nicholas) Duby, Stephen Comstock, Jessica Rook, and the late Joshua Boynton.

Proud great-grandfather of Blake, Claire, Brayden Hutsko, and Dustin Comstock, Riley Randles, Gage, and Hannah Duby.

Dear brother of Andrea (the late James) MacKay. Preceded in death by his sisters Elizabeth 'Betty' Mullett, Anna Bell Santino, Mildred 'Millie' DeMeulemeester, his brothers Nicholas Hutsko and the late John Hutsko, who passed away as a child in Pennsylvania.

He retired from General Motors as a pipefitter. William better known as “Hoot” to all his friends was the life of the party. Hoot loved to hunt and fish. He loved all Detroit sports, especially Detroit Red Wing Hockey. He was an avid golfer. Hoot will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.
