I knew Gary since I was 12 years old and he almost beat me up when I said something to him----but fortunately for me--I backed down. We placed football together at St Scholastica. In the 1970 Benedictine yearbook picture of the football team, he and I are standing next to each other laughing because we are pushing each other. He was a tough Irish guy---but always had a smile and a big laugh. I had the opportunity to have lunch with him about a year ago along with my brother Joe and another childhood friend, John Cibrario. One thing he kept repeating when the conversation turned to his illness was "No Regrets" An All-Star guy who is in heaven with that great smile and laugh. May God Bless his whole family during this difficult time

I was so shocked to hear that Gary had passed away. You & your entire family have my sincere condolences. Gary was a groomsman for my wedding back in 1974. Gary & Jeff are now together in heaven.

Although I didn't get the chance to know Gary, it was so clear to me by all the fb posts and pictures that he was an extraordinary person...a wonderful husband, father and friend.
