I am very sorry to hear of Joan's passing but I am very happy that she has finally reached her reward in Heaven. Joan was always a comfort to me as I went through my grief. What a great example she was with her bravery and pleasantness!

Dear John and Family,
What a gift I received when Joan and I were assigned to be roommates at St. Alexis School of Nursing. She was smart and good, with the heart of a giant. A great positive influence, yet always ready for anything with a touch of mischief. Every fiber of her being screamed that she was born to care for the sick and one day to become a wife and mother. And she knew at that young age, that you, John, were the love of her life. A love that produced and included your six wonderful and beloved children. Joan will always be remembered by me as one of God's most special creations. You are all being thought of and remembered in the prayers of Javier and myself during this difficult time. A great lady has gone to heaven. As neighbors for 40+ yrs Rita & I(Roger) have shared our lives with Joan & John. We have raised children together & have shared stories of our families,good times & bad. We have prayed for each other over these 40yrs when family troubles occur. Joan will be sadly missed. Her apple pies were legendary.Our family joins us in prayer for her & John & Scott and their family. Goodbye Joan save us a place to meet again!!
