Many fond childhood memories spent in the U.P with Aunt Mary and family. Playing cards, picking strawberries and blue berries, hunting, stories of walking to school in the snow bare foot up hill both ways, laughing about the families love of penny slots and bingo, and annual July 4th celebrations in Powers. As we grew older we would hear updates about Joe, Paul, and Janet's dreams and successes. She was very proud of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. It would be hard to say how many baseball and softball games she attended, but I can assume it was in the thousands since I know Paul is still actively playing. Let's not forget her laugh, those Schetter girls can let out a robust noise of joy when telling stories. Aunt Mary and Uncle Bob could finish each others sentences, and after 66 years together they had a lot to tell. I am sure her crafting friends and neighbors will miss her company too since she was active in the community and church. I pray the Lord will Bless the family with Peace and Comfort as they celebrate her life. May God continue to bless you all with strength in the days to come.
